Getting Things Done!

So we are moving along on getting things done in the house. It has been four very full weeks of endless cleaning, rearranging, purging, and resetting up, but I think we may be close to done with a few more hours of work looming.

The baby room is almost cleared out and the baby room closet is all the way cleared out and the things that were in there, if they made the cut, are now in the office/dog room closet, but if not, they are in the huge donation pile sitting in the baby room. We also got rid of the very last furniture item that we were needing to purge: a mattress. We essentially either sold or gave away an entire bedroom set that was in our guestroom,  which is now the baby room, within the last few weeks. We are so happy to have our garage back and to have all of that furniture gone! Not to mention, I'm so happy to be done with answering emails from those who found our furniture ads on Craigslist and setting up appointments for people to come by the house to take a look at what we were selling. If your price is low enough you can totally sell things on CL's quickly, which is awesome, but you still have to work to get it done.

Today we also got the last missing furniture piece that we ordered over a month ago. It got delivered today!  So our living room is now complete as far as furniture goes. There are still some missing items that we would like to have but we'll have to put those items' priority behind purchasing baby stuff. But, nonetheless, we're much more functional. No more days of sitting on lawn or office chairs in the living room. :)

We worked so hard on going through our very full guestroom closet and moving and filling up our office/dog room closet. It looks great and it feels great to have that huge feat out of the way. We were both dreading it. This means we're one step closer to having a full fledged baby room! Yea! It makes it so much more real. Exciting!
