My long road home is a living work in my life. I hope to find strength, wisdom, and a true acceptance and love of the person that God created me to be. There is so much in life that can muddle and crowd out God's goodness. On my long road home it is my prayer that God will impart his know-how for my life through all of my hurts and victories.
About Kristen
Well, I've finally made it into my 30's. One part of me is really excited about this, as I hear the best is yet to come in my life. On the other hand, I feel my 30's have come a little too quickly, as I'm still not a mom. Seeing as I would love to be a mom to many bambinos, I'm feeling a little rushed. My feeling rushed doesn't come from me not being ready to be a mom, but the fact that my body will not cooperate and we don't know if that will ever happen. My husband, Kevin, and I are still not sure how having children in our lives will come about. But we are actively on this journey--which has been much less than fun.
Beyond the baby thing, I am very happily married to a man that is a true blessing. We have been married for 3 years. It has been three years FULL of immense change, dissapointment, victories, sacrifice, new beginnings, lost opportunities, revelations of truth, and getting to know what having realistic expectations really means. But it is our journey, which is a part of my long road home, and it has been nothing short of amazing, beautiful, and life changing.
