Spring is Here!

Hey All,

Just wanted to check in and let you all know we're still alive and soooo enjoying this beautiful Spring weather. We have been enjoying lots of park time, nature trail walks, and working outside making our house our home.

Kevin and I worked alllll last weekend, with the help of our baby sitter,  doing our flower beds! Whew!! Talk about a lot of work. We definitely must be aging, neither one of us could stand the next day. :) But it all looks beautiful! Sadly, we totally forgot to take before and after pictures.

Mr. Preston is talking up a storm, yall. Multiple new words per day. It is so fascinating. He asked me for dental floss so he could floss yesterday. Whoa, did that really happen?! LOL

Brooks is still growing like a weed, and cooing and smiling all the time. He hates tummy time, although I'm trying to push it, since his little head is starting to look a little flat. uh oh. He is still sleeping with us, and I'm having horrible luck moving him away from that. He pretty much will only sleep if he can feel me right up against him. uh oh. No bueno. This is def bad news for naps.

We are planning on heading over to Kevin's bosses house to do a family Easter celebration and hunt with their kiddos on Saturday. Super excited.

Found out I have a heterogeneous mthfr gene defect. Yea...not. So digging in to that. Yall should all look this up, crazy wild implications on thousands of people's health.

On a super, super sad note, which is why I will not really elaborate much--because my heart is absolutely broken at the moment, we euthanized one of our dogs this past Monday morning. She is kid aggressive, and we have worked and worked with trainers and thousands of other things to mitigate this risk for the boys, including trying to rehome her for the past 5 months, with no luck. Anyway, that's where we are. My heart is crushed. Kevin finally laid down the law and made the final choice. I really can't say much else right now other than my heart is crushed. Im anxiously awaiting her ashes back.

OK, gotta run, I have a sleepy baby staring at me. :)
