Yep, yep, Mr. Preston is TWO YEARS OLD! I vividly remember sitting in front of this very laptop screen gushing out my excitement at being pregnant with Preston, and now he's turning two! Wow. So amazing. :)
In an effort to make my life less stressful and full, we chose to have his party someplace other than our house, so I had no big at-home preparation and clean up. Whew, I sure loved it too!
We had his party at Everland Play, and indoor play land. This place apparently is quite the hit, too. His party was at 1030 am on Saturday and it was already a packed house, kids galore!
A little not my style, but we did go with a "packaged" themed party, Thomas the Train, which Preston loves. It made it so easy for us, though! There was also a guest appearance by Elmo. We really thought this would have been incredible for Preston, buuuuut, not so much...at all. Preston was scared beyond belief. He DID NOT LIKE ELMO. LOL Way too scary for him.
We had about 15 party goers that joined us, with a total of 5 kids, so mostly adults, but it was a fantastic party! Our neighbors joined, Kevin's boss and wife and kids, our baby sitter and her Mom and sister, and our neighbor's sister and her daughter who is Preston's age. We are incredibly blessed to have such great people in our lives, seriously. To have such fantastic people already in our lives here to love on us and our sweet Preston is incredible! So thankful!
Preston's reaction to the crazy, wild play land was very much like what went down at gymnastics--he was overwhelmed and everything was, " no!"....until we found the toddler area. It was a hit. He was all over the place and had a blast.
Preston did share his party a bit with his babysitter, Chelsea, who turned 18 that Saturday. It was so nice of her to join to celebrate Preston on her very big, special day. So we got them both a cake and celebrated them both. Preston thought it was pretty cool.
We had a wonderful, awesome time celebrating Preston. It really was such a nice day, and we really can't describe how thankful we are for these incredible people we have in our lives.
