So Preston is almost 15 weeks old. Man, things have changed so much since we brought him home. It seems like there are changes to navigate weekly. He is developing so quickly and is more and more engaged in his surroundings by the day. He is "talking" up a storm and now has a wide array of pitches and squeals and even seems to attempt to mimic some of the sounds we make. We are working on rolling over, so I think it will be soon. He is no longer the perfectly still little newborn. These days we have to be quite quick with getting the diaper on him, as he is kicking and moving all over the place. He has also lost some interest in nursing as he is really curious about things around him. It seems I have to work to keep him focused on nursing as his eyes and head are wandering all over the place. He has always been so alert and engaged. The same goes for having him in the bbay carry of the sling, unless he is really tired, he has to be facing outward. Otherwise, you will hear about it. He must be able to see the world. We are still struggling with his nap routine, despite my diligence. If he has a poor nap day, then usually his night is poor too. It seems once we figure out something that works, it works for a week, then it all changes again. So we are learning as we go. :)
Here are a couple pics of Preston at 14 weeks:
All my boys: Eli, Julian, Kevin, and Preston. Love them.
