10 Months Old

Oh how time flies. Our sweet boy is ten months old! I am amazed everyday by how quickly these little ones change and develop. Preston is just so awesome to watch everyday. He is close to walking. He is walking well behind his walkers, he carries at least one toy everywhere where he goes. He always has something in one of his hands as he's cruisin' along or crawling, always. He is full of all kinds of sounds and babbling and now occasionally says DaDa. He is fitting two blocks together, he puts toys inside of anything--any bucket, any cool hiding spot. :)  He is also waving! This is his newest learned skill. He is also coming into his own as far as personality and is much more willing to be defiant or not do something just because he doesn't want to. We just went to see his pediatrician for a well visit and his doc was really impressed with how " advanced" he is on skills. Of course, he seems totally within normal range to us, but, of course, we have no comparison. He's just really a great little guy. We are so blessed. At ten months, Mr. P is 18.7#, 28.5 " long, and his head is 17". His head circumference is still really small in the 5% percentile, but we know his head is growing adequately because of his check ups with his helmet center.

On a down note, Mr. P has been sick, sick. He was diagnosed with RSV and it was quite the rough week last week. Kevin went out of town last week right after Preston was diagnosed with RSV, so needless to say, it was a very difficult week for me! Preston was so so sick and not sleeping--which meant I was on duty round the clock at home isolated until Kevin came back home. I almost had to call in some reinforcements to help me out, but I made it through thankfully. He is still not a 100% but the doc says he is no longer contagious, so thankfully, WE CAN GET OUT AGAIN! Kevin and I are going to spend some much needed quality time together very soon now that Preston is better and can be babysat. Whooo hooo!
