Thank you for Spring!

We are soo excited that Spring is here! Here in Texas we get a few weeks of good weather per year. It's usually either too cold or scorching hot. So we're soaking up the rays and enjoying lots of good family time.

Mr. P is doing super well. I love watching him grow and change...well, some days it's pretty bitter to watch because I don't want him to grow up!--but I know that's a losing battle, so I'm trying to embrace it and love every second. :) He has truly blossomed in the last few weeks. Over night he seems to have become a little person, a toddler, rather than a baby. He will hold up the number one when you ask him how old he is, he hammers everything in sight with his new hammer, he is playing with all of his toys totally appropriately all of the sudden. A light bulb has gone off. He points to everything, so we name everything for him. He is picking up on more signs super fast. He is doing all types of things and surprises us daily with all of his mimicking. He surely is a sponge! We gotta mind our P's and Q's because little eyes are watching!
:)

He is obsessed with "helping" me load and unload the dishwasher. Here's how it goes down...

Picks something and goes for it...
 Got it!

 And he's off with it...

And then he throws it on the ground repeatedly to hear the sound it makes. :)

Playing with his two fav things...Glory and a paper towel roll

He loves this girl, and she loves him. Well, I should say she is really tolerant. :)

Handsome boy!

 Big boy!

He knows lots of signs for his toys, too. If you ask him to go get his foot ball, he will go get it!

Oh, I guess he has multiple favorite things. He also looooves to "help" me vacuum. It takes me twice as long because he gets all tangled in the cord, but he loves it. )

Kevin left this morning for Ohio for the next six days for a business trip. I already miss him. But P and I will have plenty to do this week, so fingers crossed the week speeds by. On the eve of Kevin's departure, we made sure to enjoy some good family time together. The weather was gorgeous, so we took full advantage and got outside. We had a lovely patio lunch at a hole in the wall BBQ place, and P had his first taste of beef and BBQ----thumbs up! Loved it! We also hit up the park, P loves to swing and also loves to eat wood chips, grass, leaves, and weeds,..oh, and he also added rocks to the list yesterday as well. :) We sat and fed the ducks and P loved them. It was surely an awesome day.

P was eating the bread out of Kevin's hand...:)

Ducks! Loves to point at everything these days

No time for posing when Mom has these glasses on for me to grab

 Lunch on the patio

 First bite of BBQ!

The famed wood chips. He tries to eat these constantly!

We will certainly miss Dad, but hopefully we will have a great Mom and Baby week!

My brother Mikey came to visit last week for a day, and he has never met P, so it was quite the treat! We were all soooo happy he came up to see us! Preston loved him, and it was so heart warming to see them spend time together. Mikey is my deaf brother, the main reason we work hard to teach P sign language. :)

Playing with the gift Uncle Mikey got P for his birthday. His new favorite toy! He loves this hammer!
 My turn!

Have a great week, everyone!

  1. Preston is getting so big and appears to have such a sweet, busy personality! I can relate, our babies/toddlers are growing up way too fast! So jealous of your beautiful weather, we still have snow here and looks like we will be getting more this week. I am certainly ready for spring! Hope you all are having a wonderful, fun filled week!
